About the Movement

We are always looking for the right people to join our teams for periods of 3 months to 2 years. Whether or not you see an appropriate vacancy below, if you feel you may be called to Community life, please send us a CV and/or a general application form, and we'll tell you what we have.
All Community members also take an active part in the worship, creative and serving aspects of our life. They are "volunteers" because they receive full board, accommodation and an allowance - not a traditional salary. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with a desire to serve God.

COMMERCIAL MANAGER Lee Abbey are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager, to be involved in all aspects of the sales and business generating operations, playing a strong part in the future growth strategy of Lee Abbey. Applications are required to have strong leadership ability and a relevant, proven track record within a commercial market. The package includes accommodation – suitable for family, allowances. This position is for a three-years.

NIGHT PORTER We seek a Night Porter to ensure the security of Lee Abbey Guests, Community and the property as a whole throughout the night hours, responding to any incidents or emergencies that arise. The position is initially one year; the package includes accommodation suitable for single person.

CREATIVE ARTS DIRECTOR Lee Abbey has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Creative Arts Director, to work as part of the Conference Team to develop, promote and direct the creative art aspect within the life and ministry of Lee Abbey Community and its guests. Preferably significant experience essential, you should be a self-starter, possess excellent organisational skills, be able to lead a team in a diverse multicultural environment. Accommodation included, position for three years.

HOUSE KEEPER - TEAM LEADER Have you previous experience in house keeping, are you a self starter, possess excellent organizational skills and able to lead a team in a diverse and cultural environment? The ability to communicate clearly and relate well to people, including those from overseas is essential. The position would initially be on a three-year post and is currently only available to single people due to accommodation limitations.

CATERING MANAGER - TEAM LEADER Lee Abbey are seeking to appoint a Catering Manager, to be responsible and efficiently manage the Lee Abbey Kitchens and dining areas. To ensure that meals are produced to high standards. You must be patient, approachable and able to work within and motivate a team which includes people from overseas. We're looking for someone with relevant qualifications and/or experience. The package includes accommodation – suitable for family, allowances. This position is for three-years.

BOOKINGS TEAM We seek people with a friendly, welcoming manner and basic computer skills to work in our Bookings Team, answering guest and Community enquiries and presenting a positive face to Lee Abbey's ministry to the public.

FINANCE ASSISTANT Do you have experience with book keeping, nominal ledger, Microsoft packages, Excel, Pegasus Opera and a call to live in Community? We can offer you a challenging role for two years.

YOUTH & CHILDRENS DEPUTY We are looking for someone with proven leadership skills and a gifted communicator to help run the Youth & Children Ministries at Lee Abbey. To provide support to the Team and deliver a wide variety of activities, including: climbing, archery, orienteering, outdoor education, bush craft, and sharing the Christian faith in creative and appropriate ways. We work with schools, youth groups, families and the corporate sector. The package includes accommodation, allowances and on-going training. This position is for a three-year post.

AUDIO-VISUAL COORDINATOR An opportunity for the role of Audio-Visual Co-ordinator will open up later in the year, responsible for all live and recorded sound, stage lighting and video used by House Parties and Community. The role is a mix of sound engineering, sound, digital media creation, editing and copying. Some technical and electrical knowledge, training skills, administration, dealing with suppliers. ACTIVITY INSTRUCTORS / YOUTH WORKER The Youth & Children Ministry Team are seeking experienced Activity Instructors / Youth Workers to join the team. If you have a passion for working with young people, enjoy outdoor activities and want to share your faith in meaningful and creative ways, this could be for you! We offer relevant training, although we are currently seeking experienced youth workers for vacancies.

We'd love to hear from someone with proven leadership skills and a gifted communicator to help run the Youth Activities in the main house, part of the Youth Ministry. Our Youth and Children's Team work with guests from 2 to 16 years old. The work also involves contact with local schools and planning and leading sessions for Community children.
