The Lee Abbey Friends are an essential part of the Lee Abbey Movement and have provided vital prayer cover for our work and ministry since the Movement started in 1946. All our ministries - in Bristol, Birmingham, London and worldwide - are dependent on the committed, prayerful support of the Lee Abbey Friends.

Pray

The main task of the Friends is to pray for the evangelisation of this country and the world, including their own communities.

Friends commit themselves to pray and to be a part of the Lee Abbey vision of serving and renewing the Church. Friends also have the opportunity of belonging to one of the 25 groups of Friends around England, who meet to pray and encourage one another.

Friends' Week

Friends' Week and Friends' Weekend are annual get-togethers at Lee Abbey Devon for all Friends. See the Devon programme.

Rapport and Prayer Partners

Rapport and Prayer Partners

Each year, Friends receive three issues of Rapport, the magazine of the Lee Abbey Movement. It gives you all the latest news of Lee Abbey Devon and the other communities in the Movement, as well as something to pray for every single day.

The cost of being a Friend

We ask for an annual subscription of just £10 to cover our production and distribution costs. Many of our Friends who are able to do so subscribe more for the work of Lee Abbey.
